Benevolence Program
The staff at Milt’s Service Garage was thrilled when we had the opportunity to serve our community and donate time to a charity. This worthwhile cause is called the benevolence program. Hundreds of applicants are then screened before the deserving family is chosen to receive a newly refurbished vehicle. This program is geared towards body shops in the area that work with the program to rebuild the vehicle.
We were presented with a chance to be the supporting members on this project, and were more the willing to help such a good cause. We have already sponsored two vehicles this year. More than any other repair facility in the area. Milt’s took on the responsibility of inspecting and making all necessary repairs before turning the car back over to the program as they prepared to present it just before Christmas.
Retailers from all over the community came together for the unveiling of the vehicle. There were parts houses that donated materials. An insurance company that donated full coverage on the vehicle for one year. Several local businesses even donated miscellaneous items and gift certificates. This was so that the family that received the vehicle would have everything they needed to make a fresh start. When the family received this vehicle they were overjoyed and did not know what to say other than thank you for your generosity.
